Western Sahara Travel Guide

African country of Western Sahara. Western
Sahara was formerly called Spanish Sahara. In
1976 Morocco annexed the northern two thirds of
the country, and after Mauritania withdrew
from the country in 1979, they annexed the remainder
of the country. (Question: Is Western Sahara
now officially part of Morocco, or has
the United Nations referendum been finalized yet?)
